Taking Dots Further

I don't think about dots as often as i should. They can really be an interesting design trick, don't you think? I picked up these glass beads the other day because the strict "graphic-ness" of the dots combined with the look of age was a really nice contrast. Making dots like this is super easy to do with polymer of course - just flattened balls on top of flattened balls. Some folks have perfected the trick of using colored liquid clay and firming each application of color with a heat gun to build up a more glass-like affect. That's cool - play with that this month if you want to. It's harder on a rounded surface, so start out on a flat one and see what happens!

The simplest dots with polymer or epoxy clay are just flattened balls, as you know. Don't over think them. Just press them on stuff!
