authentic handmade Hawaiian tapa cloth from Maui

Tapa cloth is a native island craft form used to make cloth from the inner bark of certain trees. It is a long detailed process traditionally done by by groups of women, and decorated with traditionally symbolic images.

I was fortunate to come across some pieces of damaged cloth (I live in Maui) so i could cut them up into smaller pieces and offer to share them with you all (i kept some of the best pieces for myself, obviously!)

Use them in your creations, or as a background to mount something island-y

I'll pick out a nice one for you ok.

each piece varies and is about 6x8 inches.
