i made this during my Artist Residency stay recently in Mulranny, Ireland

This piece assembles polymer clay embellished with pearls and 24k gold leaf and  tucked inside an empty "mermaid's purse" (which is a shark's egg case) which is protected with a coating of Paverpol for durability. The rest is epoxy clay over wood and embellished with sand from the local beach seaweed (also from the beach and  protected with Paverpol), shells, small coral pieces, glass and stone.
 
She has a story, but it's still forming...
